Why renovation?

For the longest time, the entire home ownership journey has had countless of problems, and poor renovation experience is really right there at the top.

In 2021, CASE received 1,300 complaints against home renovation contractors.

Just google “renovation problems singapore”, and countless of stories and articles like this will appear.

Ask your friends if they will recommend their ID or contractor, and we dare say most of them will say no.

Issues such as poor transparency, sub-grade workmanship, or even failure to complete renovation works are prevalent.

This is further clouded by companies who are able to “buy” online reviews, and photos that can be edited, making it difficult to consumers to decipher.

The lack of a quality & reliable renovation platform is jarring.

We only have one shot at renovation, why do we have to gamble at it?

And hence, our first step was to launch a renovation platform of the highest quality and utmost stringency, based entirely on past homeowners’ reviews that we sourced for independently.

Our goal is to make sure nobody has a poor renovation experience ever again.

And we called ourselves “Deconstruct”, as we seek to deconstruct the current state within the property industry, starting by eliminating the poor renovation experience for all homeowners in Singapore.

As we start this blog post, we will share more about renovation, property in general, and some experiences we had in starting this startup, and hopefully it will help you in one way or another!
