The Fairest Way to Make Any Reno Decision

We swear the most painful part of renovating your home isn’t the dust, the delays, or even the budgeting.

It’s the decisions.

Every reno consists of hundreds of decisions (not even exaggerating).

Should you pick ID 1, ID 2 or ID 3?

What type of lights should you get? Those orange-r “3k” lights, the more natural “4k” lights, and where should you place them?

Have you guys seen the paint catalogue? HOW ARE THERE 50 SHADES OF WHITE?! Which white will better fit into our japandi theme? Maybe we can choose the slightly off-white one?

The worst nightmare, for all couples, is when your partner picks something you hate, but you can’t say anything because they are the “alpha”. After it turns out like shit, you still get the blame anyway.

Watch our tiktok channel if you lazy to read.

Before you enter decision paralysis, let us share with you the fairest/fastest way for you guys to make decisions, taught by one of the ID we partner with.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Person A picks their top 2-3 choices

  2. Person B picks one from that shortlist, and that shortlist alone —no peeking at other options.

  3. Follow this religiously. No breaking of rules. No overriding.

For example, when picking tiles

  1. Person A picks their top 3 favourite tiles

  2. Person B then can only pick 1 out of that 3 tiles. No more looking at all the other tiles whatsoever.

This works because both parties contributed to the final decision. Once the choice is made, that’s it. No regrets, no "I told you so." If it turns out ugly? Congrats, you both messed up. Life’s fair that way.

At the end of the day, always remember: “decisions you make, consequences you bear.”

We know this article sounds like a joke compared to our usual ones, but this method legitly works!
