Go for site visits before you renovate

We are not referring to your own house.

We are referring to your ID/contractor’s ongoing projects.

Watch our tiktok video on this if you lazy to read.

More often than not, homeowners will find themselves narrowing down to 2 IDs/contractors to choose from.

Then, the dilemma starts, as there will be pros and cons for each renovator.

So how do we ensure that we choose the “right” one?

One of our biggest tip is to request for each renovator to bring you to one of their current projects, preferably with the homeowner being present.

We found that those who are more open to these requests tend to be more confident in their ability to deliver, and are less likely to play “tricks” during the renovation.

Conversely, those who perpetually give reasons for not bringing you to the sites, are more likely to know that homeowners were not satisfied with their service.

This is why, many of the renovation firms who wish to partner us, upon hearing that we will need to verify their service with 20 of their past clients, start to give us all sort of reasons, and we rejected all of them.

There are two other things you can confirm with this site visit.

One, you can speak directly to the homeowner, and hear independently how their renovation experience was. This prevents the renovators from inflating their abilities.

Two, you can examine the workmanship of the house to see if it is up to your standard.

This is one of the most important tip that we can share to all homeowners, so please please please do so before you engage anybody!
